Today's route

The home screen of the tech app. Reading the route, starting a visit, and the clock-in flow.

The tech app opens to the today screen. Top of the screen: your status (on the clock / off the clock) and a clock-in button. Below that: today's visits in their optimized order.

The clock-in flow

  1. Tap "Clock in" first thing in the morning.
  2. Live counter starts ticking.
  3. Go about your day. Visits auto-track their own time within the shift.
  4. Tap "Clock out" at the end of the day.

The visit list

Each visit shows as a card:

  • Client name + service + property address
  • Scheduled window (e.g., "9:00–10:00")
  • Status (scheduled / en route / in progress / completed / skipped)
  • Any weather risk flag (⚠ if the day is flagged)
  • Tap the card to open the visit screen

Inside the visit screen, an "Open in Maps" button launches turn-by-turn directions in the phone's native map app. The visit stays in its current status; tapping "En route" is separate.

💡
Tap "En route" when you actually leave the previous stop (or your home base for the first visit). That timestamp drives the ETA shown to the client in their SMS. Tapping en route before you are actually moving gives the client an inaccurate ETA.

Running behind?

If you see you will not finish on time, touch the owner or dispatcher through the app chat (coming Q3) or an SMS. Re-ordering the day is a dispatch call, not a tech call.
